Danielle is a sales queen with 10+ years of experience in the corporate world. She recently left corporate by bringing her sales skills online. So, how did she do it?
On September 2019, Danielle decided to take the plunge and bring her corporate skills online – she resigned from her corporate job and started her own business. And in just 7 months, she hit six figures with ease and flow! There’s a whole backstory to how she ended up here, but the short and sweet of it is:
“I just really wanted to have a larger impact and this was the way to do it.” – Danielle
Seems simple, right?! We all know there’s many mindset shifts that go into a big decision like this, but truly Danielle is the type of person once she DECIDES she just goes for it. I love this about her!
“When you pull the curtains back and really look at what sales is at its core, it’s truly relationship building. It’s listening. It’s making sure that you’re showing up for the other person, or you’re giving them what they need. It’s not really about you.” – Danielle
Here are Danielle’s top sales tips:
1. Understand your power before getting on a sales call. Understand that you’re in control. Establish the tone of the meeting.
2. The majority of the sales call should be her talking – and you listening. Let her do the talking. Remember, you’re not on a sales call to solve their problems.
3. When wrapping up the call, ask a “How” or a “What” question.
Get comfortable with taking imperfect action. If you’ve got momentum, don’t overthink it. Take small steps every single week. Don’t wait for anything to be perfect. Don’t overthink anything. Just continue taking small steps and always, always invest in yourself.
Good luck on your entrepreneurial journey!
