My journey towards entrepreneurship wasn’t exactly pretty…
It involved a move from San Francisco to London for my career, an unexpected illness, a deep dive into personal development, and then took a tentative step towards entrepreneurship.
When I first started – and I think a lot of new entrepreneurs can relate to this – I had no idea what I was doing. I just started, and like most new entrepreneurs, I definitely went through my share of ups and downs.
Before my illness, I had no intention to ever become an entrepreneur. But, after I saw how my skills could change people’s lives, my entire perspective changed.
My journey from corporate to entrepreneurship wasn’t easy, and it definitely didn’t happen overnight.
Wondering how I did it – and how you could do it too?
Rather than tell you all the things I did, let me share what I would do if I were to start over TODAY. Below, I list down 5 tangible tips to help you scale to a multiple 6-figure business online.

Have clear messaging. WHO do you want to serve? HOW? The how is where I see most people going wrong, so make sure you get this just right. Focus on your unique selling proposition.
A real skill-set that can clearly be articulated. Now, this doesn’t mean you won’t be successful online if you don’t have transferable skills; in fact, I didn’t have an exact transferable skill when I switched from corporate to entrepreneurship either! Showing up consistently and not giving up are the only names of the game.
Also, instead of focusing on skills that you don’t have, I want you to list out all of the skills that you DO HAVE and think about how you can market that.
Learn high-ticket sales – QUICKLY. Selling a million small ticket offers is really hard at first as you’re beginning to build your audience.
Believe your offering is worth it and that YOU ARE, too. It will be scary to put yourself out there. After all, you’re no longer selling your company’s product; you are selling YOU. Your name and brand are on the line, so make sure you truly believe in yourself and what you’re doing.
No matter what you’re doing or what you’re selling, make sure that you always offer value for your audience. Create opt-ins, freebies, grow your email list, and give love to people. And when I say value, I actually mean something meaningful. Create something that really positions you as an expert. Do a content audit and ask yourself, ‘Would I buy from me?’ and ‘Do I know exactly what I do?’
I hope my story shows you that everything is truly possible – even when it feels near impossible! You can do it, even if it feels crazy difficult right now. I have heard, seen, and done it all… I AM HERE TO SHOW YOU IT’S POSSIBLE!
