Who knew that talking about your corporate experience and messy past could generate so much money?!
Yes, it can really be that simple. Here’s how…

..and actually talk about them!
I know you’re probably rolliing your eyes right now and you thinking “I’m not really great at anything” or “my experience doesn’t exactly translate to my online biz”… but I’m calling BS!
Everyone is good at something, you haven’t gotten to where you are today by having zero strengths.
Let’s start simple👇
Build a list of what you HAVE done in the past. say whattt?!
Go back to your performance reviews:
What have bosses or peers said your strengths are?
What type of advice do co-workers come to you for?
What have previous clients said about you?
I want you to note all of these and read them every single day until you truly believe them 💪
So you begin to know your worth, that you’re already good enough, that you’ve done big, scary things in the past before and you can do them again.
I’ll give you one of my first MBA client examples:
She actually began her Instagram account literally during our time working together.
We worked on how she was going to start talking about her capabilities and strengths. And I kid you not – she signed a $3K client within a few weeks!
She actually told the world: “Hey, here’s what I’m good at…and I’m open for business”.
You will be surprised that can have just a few hundred followers and still make a lot of money! The fact of the matter is that there are people around you today, in your warm audience that needs what you have. You just need to show up and actually start talking about your gifts.
Okay! That is number one – identify your core competencies and start talking about it.
One to two times a month.
These are going to become your core brand stories.
It gives others hope that they can do it, too 🙂and they’ll see themselves in your story.
You need to give your target audience permission to believe in themselves enough to actually invest in themselves. You want them to see that you’ve been where they are and have come out on the other side.
For example, you will constantly hear me talk about the beginning of my business journey:
“I sold out my coaching biz while working non-stop at LinkedIn, launching one of the biggest products in their history and traveling to 1-2 new countries every month. If I can juggle all the things, you can too”.🤹
Remember, new people will continue to follow you, which is why you have to keep sharing your story.
Plus, social media is happening so quickly – no one will remember it. Keep saying it.
Alright, time to move on on tip #3 (my favorite one).
High performing people work better under pressure.
Don’t believe me? Go read “High Performance Habits“ by Brendon Burchard, he talks all about this.
And you want to attract high performing clients, right?!
If you want people to sign up quickly, create urgency and FOMO. This is sleezy, it’s what they need!
Tell your audience how many spots you have left to work with you for the rest of the year, give them some incentive or tell them when they have to take action by.
Example: “I’m giving $500 off my signature program if you sign up by tomorrow. You have 24 hours”.
You see how easy that was, right?😉
I hope you guys found this helpful.
